Jessica Gonzalez, Esq.
Jessica Gonzalez is a licensed attorney in the state of Florida. She is an attorney at the Tampa Office focusing her practice exclusively on family-based immigration law and removal defense. Ms. Gonzalez is a second-generation immigrant of Mexican American descent. She is fluent in both English and Spanish. Ms. Gonzalez brings valuable legal expertise and cultural understanding to her work at Bassey Immigration Law Center, P.A.
Ms. Gonzalez earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Spanish Language/Literature and Political Science from the University of North Florida before receiving her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law. During her time at Stetson University, Ms. Gonzalez participated in a legal clinic with the Immigration Unit of Gulfcoast Legal Services, a non-profit legal aid organization. While participating in this clinic, Ms. Gonzalez focused on providing representation for victims of domestic violence, crime, and human trafficking, as well as unaccompanied immigrant children. Upon graduation, Ms. Gonzalez was recognized with the prestigious Victor O. Wehle Award for her excellence in trial advocacy, a testament to her strong courtroom skills and commitment to the legal profession.
Recognizing the importance of accessible and competent legal support, Ms. Gonzalez has developed a strong passion for serving immigrants. Her personal background and professional experience gives her deep insight into the challenges faced by the immigrant community. She thrives on the challenges of complex and ever-evolving immigration matters and is driven to help families navigate the legal system.
