Biography

Karen Villota-Lozano is the firm manager at Bassey Immigration Law Center. Karen has been with BILC since March 2013. She is a fist generation American from Colombian Parents. She saw her family go through the immigration process which initially sparked her interest in Immigration. She graduated from University of South Florida-St. Petersburg in May 2015.

Karen is very passionate with helping clients and their families in U-Visa Non-immigrant Petitions, VAWA Applications, Form I-130 Family Petitions, Adjustment of Status Applications and Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence. She has experience in assisting clients with Petition for Alien Fiancé(e), Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIJ) Petitions, Consular Processing, Application for Asylum and Withholding of Removal, and Naturalization. Her favorite type of cases is U-Visa and VAWAs.

She is fluent in English and Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys road biking, roller blading, going to the beach and dancing.

Karen has attended numerous trainings and conferences on immigration law, including AILA Central Florida Conference in Clearwater 2014; AILA Central Florida Conference in Clearwater Beach 2017, CLINIC Annual Convening in Tuscan, Arizona 2018; CLINIC Annual Convening in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania 2019.
